Principal's Message

It's been so exciting to watch our school year start strong! Learning has been in full swing this past month. We've completed our benchmark testing, choir/band/orchestra rotations have started in 5th grade, and this week we'll recognize our first round of Students of the Month.

September's focus has been on students learning our school-wide expectations for behavior and for learning. Each morning, our students begin their day with a lesson reviewing expectations that set them up for success. The goal of that time is for teachers and other staff members to build relationships with the students and for students to build relationships with each other. This start to our day allows students to share how they are coming into the day using the Zones of Regulation and a little about themselves.

We're excited to see our students continue to learn new skills and practice the routines and procedures that lead to success as we transition into October.
